A few days ago, we visited former cyclist (veteran) Aija Vismane (Grūbe), who during the 1950s–1960s represented the Riga Wagon Factory (RVR), achieving numerous outstanding victories and championship titles in both road and track cycling.
For research and digitization purposes, Aija has entrusted the RSB “Latvello” with her personal photo collection — a total of 62 photographs. These images also feature other outstanding athletes, including:
Margita Vītiņa, Jānis Lilje, Aleksandrs Pavlovs, Aivars Iškovs, Vilnis Oliņš, Aldis Pānis, Laimrota Strazdiņa, Māra Federe, Ivars Eiduks, Arkādijs Svece, and others.
