- 1949 – RECORD – Six Soviet Republics Competition in Speed Skating (Minsk)
- 1950 – CHAMPION – Track Cycling Championships, Sprint (Senču sils)
- 1950 – CHAMPION – Track Cycling Championships, Women’s 1 km Sprint (Senču sils)
- 1951 – RECORD – Speed Skating, 500 m on an outdoor track
- 1951 – RECORD – Speed Skating, 3000 m on an outdoor track
- 1951 – RECORD – Latvian SSR Track Cycling Championships, 1000 m Time Trial
- 1951 – ABSOLUTE CHAMPION – Speed Skating Championships
- 1951 – CHAMPION – Latvian SSR Track Cycling Championships, 1 km Sprint (Senču sils)
- 1951 – CHAMPION – Latvian SSR Track Cycling Championships, 3 km Sprint (Senču sils)

- 1955 – 4 RECORDS – Yerevan: 200 m, 500 m Standing Start Time Trial, 1 km and 2 km
- 1958 – RECORD – Track Cycling, 500 m Time Trial
- 1958 – RECORD – Track Cycling, 1000 m Standing Start Time Trial
Over the course of her sporting career, Ārija achieved:
- 🥇 1st place – 51 times
- 🥈 2nd place – 25 times
- 🥉 3rd place – 5 times
In total, 12 records were set, one of which – the 500 m track cycling time trial – remained unbeaten for 10 years.
Ārija’s parents – Jānis and Emīlija Birkhāni – served as members of judging panels and organized and officiated numerous cycling competitions, making a significant contribution to the history of Latvian sport.
