A few days ago, a representative of the Cycling Sports Association “Latvello”, Oskars, traveled to Liepāja and Grobiņa, where he was warmly welcomed by several former cycling veterans. Over the course of two days, meeting with the families of Gaļina Aleksandrova, Kārlis Kandēvičs, Laimdota Barga (Reimane), Laima Baužīte, Vladimirs Krasavcevs, Jānis Gūtmanis, Nikolajs Pušņickis, Valdis Jonass, and Arnis Ādamsons, a total of 521 photographs were digitized – unique testimonies of our cycling history.
The association also received, as a donation, trophies belonging to Arnis Ādamsons (handed over by Arnis’s sister Arta), as well as the traveling trophy “For the Winners of the Latvian School Spartakiad in Cycling”, which was generously donated by Laimdota. These items will become an important contribution to Latvia’s cycling historical heritage.
